Biography

Oh hey! I'm Marley and this is my blog for KIN 330! I'm a sophomore exercise science major and just recently became a dance minor. I hail from the great state of Alabama (roll tide!) and love everything active. Dance is my passion and want to one day teach in a studio. Though owning my own studio sounds quite exciting, I have no intentions of doing so. I have been dancing for 13 years now, studying jazz, tap, ballet, pointe, hip-hop and contemporary, and I never want to stop. This sounds corny, but without dance I wouldn't be the person I am today. I want to be able to teach other generations to love dance and to help them reach their fullest potential as a person and dancer. Since teaching in a studio is part time, I have a few other jobs in mind as well. As of right now my career aspirations would be to be a dance therapist/nutritionist. However, this changes from day to day. Some days I want to be an athletic trainer, other days a personal trainer, and other days I have no clue what I am doing with my life. Oh, and other days I want to be an aerobic instructor and get certified in a variety of class types. Zumba! I mean come on, they pay you to work out. It doesn't get much better than that. Either way, I love sport, dance, and teenagers/college students and want to work with all three for the rest of my life. I want to get paid to do what I love.
